The organization, Национальный центр интелlectualной собственности (National Center), is a Belarusian institution responsible for the protection of intellectual property rights and carrying out certain functions as a patent office according to the legislation of the Republic of Belarus. The National Center operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 16:00, with a lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00. Preliminary expertise is conducted under the following conditions: payment of application fees; submission of translated documents to the Belarusian or Russian language, if the documents are in another language; and submission of a power of attorney (if required). During the preliminary expertise, the following are checked: correct payment of established fees; whether the claimed decision is evidently related to objects that may be recognized as inventions; the presence and correct formatting of documents included in the application
