This firm is the Economic Court of the CIS, responsible for resolving interstate economic disputes within the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). It was established under the Agreement on the Status of the Economic Court of the CIS, signed on July 6, 1992. The Court consists of an equal number of judges from each CIS member state. The Economic Court maintains relationships and cooperates with the supreme courts of CIS member states and other international organizations, such as the Eurasian Economic Community, to resolve economic disputes.
